Kents' Corner, Winter : This is my favorite place in all of Vermont. The brick building with the 4 chimneys is the historic Kent's Tavern. Up the hill one way is the historic Old West Church, and up the hill the other is Stan and Elaine Fitch's farm, whose field I stood in one winter's afternoon to paint this. Elaine, age 76, spied me from the house, put on her boots, and came and kept me company for awhile. It was cold, but so beautiful. Also available as a notecard.
