- Sunset Glow, Santa Fe
- Here is another example of looking opposite. This is looking east at sunset, from an empty lot next to our townhouse. I was attracted by the curved wall of the adobe house in the foreground. Not to mention the glowing hill! Oil Painting on archival panel, unframed, 9" x 12".

- Santa Fe Hacienda, Spring Morning
- There was all of gorgeous Northern New Mexico to paint, but it was hard to leave my immediate neighborhood: there were paintings everywhere! I discovered this scene on a morning walk down to Canyon Rd.; the morning shadow of the building, and the quintessential spring-in-New-Mexico landscape in the background was irresistible to me. Oil painting on panel, 12" x 16".

- Santuario, 1
- On one of our very first walks in the neighborhood, Wendy and I came across this little, ancient, Santuario, dedicated to "all the mothers". We could not believe our eyes!! What were the chances this would exist right in our neighborhood?? This was my first painting of it; I stood across the street. Oil Painting on archival panel, unframed, 11" x 14".

- Santuario, 2
- I had to paint it again. This time I stood on the same side of the street, and included the fence. Oil Painting on archival panel, unframed, 12" x 16".

- True Grit
- This is a last painting I did in our Santa Fe neighborhood ... and it was not easy. i started at sunrise. Just as I was finishing up, here came a gust of wind so strong that it sent the painting flying, face first into the sand. Oh, the joys of painting en plein air!! I went back the next day (at sunrise!), scraped off (most of) the sand, and repainted the painting. Wendy and Paul immediately christened this one, "True Grit". And probably made me a margarita to celebrate. Oil (and a little sand) on archival panel, unframed, 12" x 16".

- Abiquiu Lake, New Mexico
- This is another (gale force) wind story. We toured Georgia O'Keefe's home(s) and studio. We fell in love with Abiquiu. I wanted to tell the story of the lake, the river, and the painted mesas. Wendy and Paul were with me. Things started out great. Another gorgeous New Mexico spring morning. But by noon, the wind had picked up so much that Wendy came over and said I had better pack up. I resisted. In a matter of minutes it took both of us to hold down the easel and keep the paint brushes from flying!! We barely got out of there with our lives! (Laugh.) I had to return the next day to complete the painting. Oil Painting on archival panel, unframed, 14" x 18".
